2023 Baker Hughes Ignite Graduate Internship Program for Nigerians

Baker Hughes, a global leader in the oil and gas industry, is offering a graduate internship program designed to provide Nigerian graduates pursuing an OND, Bachelors, or Masters degree with hands-on work experience.

The program will give interns first-hand insights into the processes, systems, and practices that ensure customer needs are met through flawless execution and leading-edge technology.

The Baker Hughes Ignite Graduate Internship Program aims to nurture and develop talents into world-class Deep-water Subsea Engineers through on-the-job, mentorship, and classroom learning. The program offers a valuable learning experience that includes familiarization with Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) and technically focused training. Interns will work on projects, present results, and receive coaching and mentoring to complete assignments and develop their learning and skillset.

Interns will be assigned to work with a technical team to foster exposure to subsea technology and products. They may also be deployed to offshore locations to broaden their experience in subsea production.

Additionally, interns will be required to complete internal projects to deliver customer outcomes and identify business improvements, learn internal software to assist with the completion of projects and tasks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and interns to interact and network with global business leaders.

They will also apply HS&E standards and procedures in all situations to ensure compliance is maintained and be exposed to various business units to develop their business acumen (finance, commercial, project management, etc.).

To be eligible for the program, applicants must be enrolled in an Engineering OND, Bachelors, or Masters level degree program and be on target to achieve a 1st Class or 2nd Class Upper grade or the equivalent. They must also be fluent in oral and written English and have the legal right to work without restrictions or have company sponsorship in the country they have applied.
