The former President of The United States, Barack Obama belongs to an investment group that could buy the Phoenix Suns as the NBA club is up for sale.

This is according to Bill Simmons, founder of The Ringer who is also an accomplished and well-known journalist.

Bill said Obama and an investment group he is part of could take over the Phoenix Suns since The Suns are up for grabs after the numerous controversies and scandals involving Robert Sarver, its owner.

The various scandals and the NBA sanction forced Sarver to sell, and different groups emerged to take over a contending team in the Western Conference.

According to Forbes, between 2.5 and 4 billion dollars are on the table. However, if they acquire 40 percent of the total, they would become owners.

So, Obama could be their new leader. “If I get a call from him… By God, yes. I’d agree to own the Suns,” the controversial Charles Barkley said of the buyout process.

Barkley, in addition to being a front-line NBA voice, is also a legend of the Arizona team.
