King Charles III Shocks Royal Watchers: Invites Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to his Coronation.
- King Charles III’s Coronation: Prince Harry’s Attendance Divide the Royal Family.
As the British monarch prepares for his coronation in May, sources reveal that King Charles III has asked Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby to mediate the relationship between Prince Harry and Prince William.
The two brothers have had a strained relationship, which has further deteriorated following the release of Prince Harry’s memoir ‘Spare’.
According to the Daily Mail, Prince William is against having either Harry or his wife Meghan Markle attend the coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey. Despite William’s concerns that Harry’s presence could detract from the coronation, King Charles believes that their absence would cause a bigger controversy.
An anonymous insider stated that negotiations with Prince Harry have been difficult as he is being advised to hold out until the last minute and not agree to any demands.
Harry’s camp reportedly made it clear that the idea of him attending the coronation and then being stripped of his titles is not an option.
Additionally, the insider claimed that Prince Harry resents being grouped with Prince Andrew as the two “problem princes”.
A friend of the monarchs stated that King Charles is hurt by the focus of anger and frustration from Prince Harry’s book, even though it is not directed towards him personally. The family’s pain is palpable as the coronation approaches.
This is a developing story and further updates are expected to come in the following days.
