The Black Entertainment Television, BET Awards has produced a list of winners in various categories of music in its 2022 edition where Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi better known as Tems, has won the ‘Best Collaboration’ category at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Award.

Her contribution to American rapper, Future’s music ‘Wait For U’ ft Drake, earned her the award, according to PM News Nigeria reports.

Although she was nominated in three categories — Song of the Year, Best Hip Hop Video, and Best Collaboration Award — she only won in one category.

Tems’ ‘Wait For U’ beat ‘Family Ties’ by Baby Keem & Kendrick Lamar, ‘Way 2 Sexy’ by Drake Featuring Future & Young Thug, ‘Hot Shit’ by Cardi B, Kanye West & Lil Durk.

African giant, Burna Boy who was nominated in the Video Director of the Year category for his self-directed music video, ‘Last Last’ lost the award to Kendrick Lamar & Dave Free.
