Russian Warships To Participate In Joint Naval Drills With China This Week.

The Russian defense ministry announced on Monday that several of its warships will participate in naval exercises with the Chinese navy in the East China Sea from December 21 to 27.

The exercises, which will include the live firing of missiles, artillery, and counter-submarine drills, are intended to strengthen naval cooperation between the two countries and maintain peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region.

According to the report, China will contribute two destroyers, patrol ships, a supply ship, and a submarine to the exercises, while aircraft and helicopters from the Pacific Fleet and the People’s Liberation Navy will also be involved.

The deepening ties between Russia and China, former Cold War allies with a complicated history, are part of a “no-limits” relationship designed to counter the global dominance of the United States.
