Delta Airline Passenger Accused Of Grabbing, Forcibly Kissing Flight Attendant

According to a report by the New York Post, a Delta Airlines passenger, identified as David Alan Burk, aged 61, was arrested on a charge of interfering with flight crew members and making false statements after he allegedly forcibly kissed a male flight attendant on the neck during a flight from Minneapolis to Alaska.

The incident occurred on April 8, 2022.

Burk, who was traveling to settle his friend’s estate in Alaska, was entitled to drinks before take-off due to his first-class status. However, when he asked for red wine, the crew member informed him that he had run out of time.

Later during the flight, the same crew member served him a glass of red wine. When the crew member returned to collect meal trays, Burk reached out to shake his hand.

About 10 minutes later, Burk got up to use the restroom and stopped at the galley where he told the male flight attendant that he was “so beautiful” before asking for a kiss. The attendant refused, and Burk reportedly grabbed him and kissed him on the neck, making him feel extremely uncomfortable. The flight attendant had to move to the back of the plane for the rest of the flight due to the situation.

Burk later asked for two more glasses of red wine and became “wasted” before falling asleep, according to the affidavit. When the plane landed in Anchorage, he was taken into custody by Airport Police.

During questioning, Burk denied getting up to use the toilet, breaking a plate, and forcibly kissing the flight attendant. However, he acknowledged drinking “a lot” before the flight. He further denied consuming three glasses of red wine, saying he only drank the first one that the crew member had served him, and that he slept the rest of the flight.
