Senator Shehu Sani Accuses President Tinubu of Widening Poverty Across Nigeria

Senator Shehu Sani has taken to Twitter to accuse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of evenly spreading poverty throughout Nigeria.

In his tweet from his handle @ShehuSani, Senator Sani highlighted that poverty, which was once predominantly experienced in the northern region, is now being deliberately distributed across the entire country by the Nigerian government.

The tweet read:

Poverty used to be exclusively for the North; now the Government is making sure there is even spread, and no section of the country is marginalized.”

Responding to the statement, a Twitter user with the handle @June12Post drew a parallel between the prevalence of poverty under President Tinubu and the insecurity experienced during former President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure.

The user suggested that insecurity and poverty may be part of a “non-marginalization” policy of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), stating that both have negatively impacted the entire nation.

The tweet stated:

Buhari met violence & terrorism ONLY in the northeast, he made sure he spread throughout the country before he left, Tinubu met poverty in the NORTH, he is now making sure it is spread countrywide. Really a policy of non-marginalization. APC @OfficialAPCNg & INEC @inecnigeria have produced demons for everyone.”

In a previous tweet, Senator Sani took a playful jab at Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Gregory Obi, on his 62nd birthday.

Sani humorously advised Obi to have his tailor remove pockets from his attire since he never uses them. This remark alluded to Obi’s assertion that he does not engage in bribery or give money for personal gain.

It is worth noting that Peter Obi has consistently maintained his stance of refraining from distributing money or offering bribes to gain favors or privileges.
