Los Angeles, CA – Grammy-winning artist Usher is set to take center stage at the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show in Las Vegas, delighting fans and football enthusiasts alike.

The National Football League (NFL), in collaboration with Apple Music and Roc Nation, officially announced this exciting news, confirming that Usher will headline the halftime spectacle at Allegiant Stadium on February 11.

Usher, an iconic music megastar with eight Grammy Awards to his name, expressed his enthusiasm for this prestigious opportunity.

In a statement, he shared, “It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before.”

The artist, who catapulted to superstardom with his acclaimed album “Confessions,” which sold over 10 million units in the U.S. and earned him three Grammys, including Best Contemporary R&B Album, is no stranger to delivering chart-topping hits. Songs like “Yeah!” featuring Ludacris and Lil Jon, “Burn,” and “Confessions Part II” solidified his place in music history. Usher is set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of this epic album next year.

Currently headlining his “Usher: My Way” residency in Las Vegas, which has been marked by sold-out shows and rave reviews, the 44-year-old artist is also embarking on an eight-night series of performances in Paris. Usher will conclude his Las Vegas residency in early December before gracing the Super Bowl stage a couple of months later.

Beyond his music career, Usher has made notable appearances as a coach on NBC’s “The Voice” and in films such as “Hustlers” and “Light It Up.” Roc Nation founder Jay-Z described Usher as the ultimate “artist and showman,” applauding his remarkable journey and talent.

Roc Nation and Emmy-winning producer Jesse Collins will co-executive produce the halftime show, while Hamish Hamilton returns as director.

This marks the second collaboration between the NFL, Apple Music, and Roc Nation. Last year, fans were treated to a spectacular halftime show by Rihanna, who appeared suspended on a platform above the field in her first solo event in seven years.

Oliver Schusser, Apple’s Vice President of Apple Music, Apple TV+, Sports, and Beats, expressed pride in this ongoing partnership, stating, “We are so proud of what we were able to accomplish together with the NFL and Roc Nation last year, and now with the insanely talented Usher set to take the stage, we’re looking forward to another incredible Halftime Show from one of the world’s all-time greatest performers.”

Usher joins an illustrious lineup of musical icons who have graced the Super Bowl halftime stage, including Beyoncé, Madonna, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Coldplay, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, U2, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, and Katy Perry.

Seth Dudowsky, NFL Head of Music, hailed Usher as an “icon whose music has left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape throughout his career,” adding to the anticipation surrounding this highly anticipated performance.
