ETH4D offers grants for mentoring doctoral candidates. If you’re a motivated doctoral candidate registered at a university or research institute in a least-developed or low- and lower-middle-income country, this opportunity is tailor-made for you.
What’s in It for You
Expert Mentorship: Benefit from mentorship by an ETH professor, senior scientist, or postdoc. The mentorship spans one year of your doctoral studies and includes monthly meetings, goal setting, and the possibility of joint publications.
Research Immersion: Experience a research stay at the mentor’s research group at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, for 1-3 months during the mentorship period.
Financial Support: Enjoy full coverage of expenses, up to a maximum of 15,000 CHF, including travel, visa fees, conference attendance, research materials, health insurance, local transportation, accommodation, and a living allowance during your research stay at ETH Zurich.
Eligibility Criteria
You must be a doctoral candidate registered in a least-developed, low- and lower-middle-income country.
Applications must be submitted by the ETH professorship hosting the doctoral candidate.
