Chaos Erupts at Poco Lee’s LASU Concert with Bella Shmurda and Odumodublvck.
Lagos State University (LASU) is currently making headlines due to a disruptive incident that occurred during Poco Lee’s concert on Wednesday, July 13, 2023, held on the university premises.
Nigerian artist Bella Shmurda and other celebrities were allegedly attacked during the event.
In a video that has since gone viral, Bella Shmurda can be seen being escorted out of the school premises by his security detail after reportedly being assaulted in the VIP section of the concert. With the help of security, he pushes his way through a crowd of students outside.
The “Party with Poco Lee Homecoming Concert” was meant to be an enjoyable and entertaining night with a lineup of planned performances. However, according to Daily Post, the event was abruptly disrupted, allegedly by suspected cultists.
In another video, up-and-coming artist Odumodublvck is seen running out of the chaotic scene while bystanders chant “Odumodu on your feet, run.” One bystander in the background comments, “He won’t run from here.”
Another video recorded by a student shows Poco Lee, the guest artist, addressing the concertgoers inside the auditorium and admonishing them for their unruly behavior. He questions how they expect any artists to return for future events if they continue to be disorderly.
The Bubar Marwa Hall, where the concert took place, was reportedly overcrowded, with over 10,000 tickets sold for a seating capacity of 2,500. This overcrowding is believed to have contributed to the scuffles inside and outside the venue. A trending video shows a brawl breaking out in the VIP seating area.
