In a shocking turn of events, Ekiti State Chief Judge, Justice Oyewole Adeyeye narrowly escaped from a potentially fatal accident on Wednesday, July 12.
A section of the state high court complex unexpectedly collapsed, burying the esteemed judge under the debris while he was in his office.
Eyewitnesses described the incident as occurring towards the end of the workday, sending panic and chaos throughout the court premises.
Dedicated court workers immediately sprang into action, exerting tremendous efforts to rescue Justice Oyewole Adeyeye from the rubble.
Fortunately, no lives were lost in the collapse, but the Chief Judge reportedly sustained serious injuries during the ordeal.
With resilience and determination, the rescue team managed to extricate him from the wreckage and rushed him to safety. Prompt emergency medical attention was provided, and Justice Oyewole Adeyeye is currently undergoing treatment at an undisclosed hospital within the state.
