Australian Woman Attacked by Her Two Rottweilers, Suffers Severe Injuries.
A 31-year-old Australian woman, identified as Nikita Piil, is currently recuperating in the hospital after a brutal attack by her two Rottweilers at her Perth home.
The incident occurred last Saturday, leaving Ms. Piil with severe blood loss and significant bite wounds to her limbs, as reported by 7 News. She is presently in serious but stable condition at Royal Perth Hospital, where doctors are working to save her arm.
During the attack, Ms. Piil cried out for help, and her neighbors witnessed the horrifying ordeal. Despite their attempts to intervene using leaf blowers, hoses, and bats, they were unable to deter the aggressive dogs.
Bryn Spencer, one of the neighbors who witnessed the incident, described the desperate situation, saying, “I didn’t have a knife, I didn’t have anything really good to take this dog out; I only had a bat. All I could really do was just watch this girl get mauled apart.”
Police were summoned to the scene and, unable to halt the attack, resorted to shooting one of the dogs. One of the dogs was euthanized, while the other is now in ranger custody.
Ms. Piil frequently shared posts about her two dogs on social media, affectionately referring to them as her “babies.” In a 2017 post celebrating Bronx’s birthday, she expressed her deep affection, stating, “I couldn’t ask for a more incredible, cheeky, loyal, intelligent, and protective little mate. You’re my whole world.”
An anonymous breeder who had sold one of the dogs to Ms. Piil speculated that a fight between the two Rottweilers might have prompted her to intervene, inadvertently becoming entangled in the violent altercation. The breeder added, “It’s not likely that a Rottweiler would attack anybody for no reason.”
