Chicago Mom Tragically Strangled in Garage by Boyfriend - Arrest Made

Sierra Jamison, a dedicated healthcare worker and mother of a 6-year-old boy, lost her life after being tragically strangled inside a garage near her Chicago home.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving loved ones in mourning.

The 63-year-old boyfriend of Sierra Jamison, Lawrence Boyle, stands accused of this heinous act and was subsequently arrested by Chicago Police officials, as reported by HuffPost.

On the fateful Monday evening, Jamison informed her mother that she intended to park her Jeep. It was during this time that she was brutally attacked by her boyfriend, Lawrence Boyle. Shockingly, Boyle was already awaiting her arrival at the garage.

Boyle allegedly strangled Sierra Jamison, confiscated her phone, and concealed her lifeless body beneath a tarp, as detailed by the police.

Concerns arose when Jamison failed to return home and did not respond to calls and messages. Distressed by her daughter’s absence, Jamison’s mother enlisted her brother to investigate the situation.

Upon arrival at the garage, her brother discovered Lawrence Boyle outside with Jamison’s phone. Boyle claimed that she had thrown the phone at him and left to visit a store, according to the charging documents provided by the Chicago Police Department.

However, unconvinced by Boyle’s account, Jamison’s mother decided to inspect the garage herself. It was there that she made the devastating discovery of her daughter’s lifeless body concealed beneath a tarp.

Subsequently, Boyle reached out to his ex-wife and reportedly confessed to strangling Sierra Jamison. This confession led to his voluntary surrender to authorities on Wednesday.

Sierra Jamison and Lawrence Boyle had been friends for approximately a decade before their romantic involvement began just a few weeks prior to the tragic incident.

Sadina Jamison, Sierra’s aunt, disclosed to CBS Chicago that Boyle had been a person Sierra trusted and felt comfortable around. She added that Sierra had no reason to fear him.

Sierra Jamison’s life was cut tragically short, merely a month after she bravely spoke out about violence against Black women. She had previously survived an attempted carjacking, displaying remarkable resilience by fending off her assailant. During this encounter, a group of women in the area came to her aid, allowing her to escape unharmed.

Sierra had shared her experiences with CBS Chicago, hoping that her story would inspire and empower other Black women who had experienced violent crimes. Reflecting on the incident, she remarked, “They literally stepped in and helped me. It was a lot of Black empowerment, women empowerment, that day.”
