Joe Biden Supports Israel's Claim on Gaza Hospital Strike Amid Escalating Conflict

US President Joe Biden arrived in Israel on a visit aimed at expressing solidarity with Israel and addressing the rapidly escalating conflict in Gaza.

One of the key issues discussed during his visit was the recent attack on a Gaza hospital that resulted in significant casualties and heightened tensions across the Middle East.

Biden Backs Israel’s Assessment

During his visit, President Biden expressed his support for Israel’s claim that the attack on the Gaza hospital was orchestrated by militants. He conveyed his deep sadness and outrage over the incident and stated, “I was deeply saddened and outraged by the explosion at the hospital in Gaza yesterday. And based on what I’ve seen, it appears as though it was done by the other team.”

These remarks came minutes after he arrived in Tel Aviv, where he was warmly welcomed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog.

Strong Show of Solidarity

Upon his arrival, Biden addressed a joint session with Prime Minister Netanyahu, where he reaffirmed the United States’ support for Israel in its ongoing conflict with Hamas. The US President has been a steadfast ally of Israel and its military campaign, a response to the shocking cross-border attacks by Hamas on October 7, which resulted in the deaths of over 1,400 individuals.

Biden’s Visit to Convey US Stance

During his address, Biden stated, “I wanted to be here today. For a simple reason, I want the people of Israel, the people in the world to know where the United States stands.”

His presence in Israel underlined the US commitment to supporting Israel in the ongoing conflict with Hamas.

Condemnation of Hamas

In addition to expressing support for Israel, President Biden also strongly condemned the actions of Hamas. The terrorist organization has reportedly taken hundreds of hostages and has been accused of heinous acts against women and children.

Biden described these actions as “atrocities” and remarked, “They (Hamas) committed atrocities that make ISIS look somewhat rational. We also have to bear in mind that Hamas does not represent all the Palestinian people, and has brought them only suffering.”

Joe Biden backed Israel’s claim that militants were responsible for the attack at a Gaza hospital that left hundreds dead and spiked tensions across the Middle East.

“I was deeply saddened and outraged by the explosion at the hospital in Gaza yesterday. And based on what I’ve seen, it appears as though it was done by the other team,” Biden told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu minutes after landing in Tel Aviv today.

Escalating Conflict and Tragic Hospital Attack

The ongoing campaign by Israel to dismantle Hamas and rescue hostages from the besieged Gaza Strip has led to a significant loss of life, with at least 3,000 casualties reported within Gaza even before the tragic hospital attack.

Accusations and counter-accusations have emerged concerning the cause of the hospital blast that resulted in over 500 casualties. While Hamas claims that it was an Israeli rocket that caused the explosion, Israel’s government, led by Benjamin Netanyahu, has denied responsibility. The Israeli military has pointed fingers at Palestinian militants, stating that an outgoing Islamic Jihad rocket misfired.
