Tiwa Savage has had an exceptionally successful year in 2023, marked by the release of her hit single ‘Stamina’ and a memorable guest appearance on Sypro’s ‘Who’s Your Guy?’

In an Instagram post made on October 17, 2023, Tiwa Savage shared the news with her fans and followers. She explained that she has been grappling with a vocal virus for several weeks, and her medical advisors have urged her to go on strict vocal rest for the next few months.

“To my dear Savage Soldiers, I’ve been fighting off a virus for the past few weeks and was today firmly instructed to be on strict vocal rest for the next few months.

I will unfortunately have to postpone all performances including my first-ever headline arena show in London.

I’m heartbroken and devastated, but I have to do this to save what’s left of my voice.

I’m so sorry. I love you all and promise to be back performing once I’m fully healed.”

Tiwa Savage was slated to make history as the first Afrobeats female artist to headline the iconic Wembley Arena, with her show originally scheduled for November 2023. Regrettably, she has now postponed this much-anticipated event, as well as the rest of her shows, which will be rescheduled for a later date.
