Emelia and her 44-year-old mother, Danielle Aloni, were taken hostage by Hamas in Nir Oz on October 7, creating widespread concern and distress.
As part of a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas, the mother-daughter duo was released on November 24. The heartwarming video, recorded on December 5, depicted Emelia’s return to her school, where she was greeted with overwhelming warmth and affection from her fellow students and teachers.
The footage begins with Emelia beaming as a staff member warmly hugs her, and she excitedly rushes to embrace her waiting friends. Each of her friends takes turns hugging her tightly, expressing how much they missed her during her absence.
