The University of the Western Cape’s MasterCard University of the Western Cape 2024 Scholars Programme is offering a limited number of fully-funded master’s degree scholarships to outstanding candidates from South Africa and across the African continent.

This programme presents a unique opportunity for talented individuals who are ready to embark on a full-time master’s degree in 2023.

The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program, initiated in 2012, is a global initiative focused on nurturing the next generation of transformative leaders.

This prestigious program aims to empower highly talented and service-oriented young individuals, primarily from Africa, by providing them with access to higher education and helping them unlock their leadership potential.

The program particularly seeks to overcome economic and social barriers that impede young people’s path to higher education, with a special emphasis on reaching young women, forcibly displaced youth, and individuals living with disabilities.

Through the MasterCard University of the Western Cape 2024 Scholars Programme, academically gifted youth from South Africa and other parts of the African continent will receive comprehensive support to pursue their master’s degree studies.

The scholarships, available for the 2023 Academic Year, cover all expenses associated with the master’s degree, ensuring that selected scholars can fully dedicate themselves to their studies and personal growth.
