A startling revelation has emerged from Mr. Jackson Ude, a former presidential aide to ex-President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and the Publisher of Point Blank News.

According to Ude, Senators and Members of the House of Representatives are set to share a staggering N104.7 billion as Christmas gifts.

Ude took to his social media platform, @jacksonpbn, to disclose this information on Monday. Citing a source within the National Assembly, he asserted that the Christmas largesse had received approval from Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Speaker Tajudeen Abbas.

The substantial sum was allegedly padded into the recently approved and signed 2023 Supplementary budget.

Detailing the breakdown of the funds, Ude claimed that each of the 109 Senators is expected to receive N300 million, while the 360 House of Representatives members will be beneficiaries of N200 million each.

The revelation suggested that the N104.7 billion allocation was discreetly included in the supplementary budget, with a warning from the Senate President to prevent any leaks to the media during the insertion process.

The news has raised eyebrows, prompting discussions about the transparency and propriety of such sizable allocations as Christmas gifts to lawmakers.
