In a shocking incident, police in Niger State launched an investigation into the death of a married woman found at the residence of a deputy zonal commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in the state.

This has left the town of Minna, Nigeria, in utter disbelief.

According to LEADERSHIP Sunday, the commander is being detained by the police following a report from a medical doctor in a private hospital in Tunga Minna about the woman’s strange and sudden death.

The woman, identified as Christiana, was married and lived with her family in the Gbeganu area of Minna. However, reports suggest that she was having an illicit affair with the NDLEA commandant, and she was a regular visitor to his house. She met her tragic end at his residence along Bay Clinic road in Tunga Minna.

Sources reveal that the woman was already dead before being taken to the private hospital, where a doctor confirmed her passing and reported the case to the police. The doctor was alarmed by the strange circumstances surrounding the woman’s death. The woman was rushed to the hospital in her pant and brassier, while her other clothes were later found in the commandant’s room.

Police spokesman Wasiu Abiodun confirmed the incident to LEADERSHIP but added that the investigation is still ongoing. Once the investigation is complete, the suspect will be charged in court.

This scandalous incident has left the town in a state of shock, and everyone is eagerly waiting for further details to emerge as the investigation continues.
