President Joe Biden encountered an unfortunate incident as he tripped and fell on stage at the Air Force Academy in Colorado.

The tumble occurred shortly after the 80-year-old president delivered a commencement address to military academy graduates.

While making his way back to his seat after shaking hands with a cadet, Biden accidentally hit his leg against a sandbag, causing him to lose balance and fall face-first. Air Force personnel swiftly aided him in getting back on his feet, and he appeared to recover without further assistance.

After rising, Biden gestured toward the object that caused his slip and proceeded off the stage without any additional support.

It’s worth noting that this is not the first time Biden has experienced a fall-related incident, as he previously broke his foot while playing with a pet dog shortly after winning the presidential election in November 2020.

Reacting to the incident, former President Donald Trump expressed his sympathy for his successor, stating, “I hope he was not hurt.”

Trump, informed about Biden’s fall during a campaign event in Iowa, took the opportunity to reflect on his own experiences. He recalled criticism he faced regarding his cautious descent down a ramp during his visit to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 2020, which led to discussions about his age.

Trump emphasized the need for caution, remarking, “You gotta be careful about that because you don’t want that… even if you have to tip-toe down the ramp.” He also emphasized the importance of getting things back on track and expressed that falling on stage was not an inspiring sight.

Biden, who currently holds the distinction of being the oldest person to occupy the American presidential seat, has announced his intention to run for re-election in 2024. His official doctor’s report this year certified him to be physically fit, highlighting his regular exercise routine.
