The top-ranking officer collapsed during a running session, and despite prompt medical attention, he was confirmed deceased upon arrival at the hospital.
Brigadier General Ahmadu, who served as an Artillery Officer within the Army Headquarters Department of Special Services and Programmes, met his untimely death during the physical training event.
According to sources, the incident occurred during the running segment of the test.
Sahara Reporters, citing insights from a high-ranking military source, reported the unfortunate incident. The source further disclosed that following his passing, Brigadier General Ahmadu was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic traditions on Monday evening.
