Tel Aviv: Video footage released by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Sunday shows a squad of Palestinian terrorists escaping in an ambulance in the Zeitoun area of Gaza.

The IDF’s 162nd Division and 401st Brigade were engaged in a mission to locate and destroy rocket launchers and launch pits when a Hamas terror squad fired an anti-tank missile at close range. Israeli aircraft swiftly responded, resulting in the elimination of most squad members.

However, surveillance footage captured by an Israeli drone reveals armed survivors entering an ambulance bearing Palestinian Red Crescent markings.

More than 100 terrorists were neutralized, and 35 locations in Zeitoun, including rocket launching sites, weapons facilities, tunnel shafts, and operational centers belonging to Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, were destroyed in the operation.

In a separate incident, Israeli forces identified a Hamas sniper firing from a nearby building and conducted an airstrike, eliminating the threat.

Furthermore, Israeli forces targeted terrorist infrastructure linked to Ad Aladdin Haddad, a senior commander in Hamas’s Gaza City Brigade.

According to IDF Spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad have extensively exploited Gaza’s hospitals, with 85% of them being utilized for terrorist activities.

Ahmed Kahlot, director of the Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, confessed during Israeli interrogation that he and other staff were Hamas operatives. Kahlot detailed Hamas’s use of hospitals and ambulances for hiding operatives, launching military operations, transporting terror squad members, and even holding kidnapped Israeli soldiers.

Reports indicate that Hamas frequently used the Shifa Hospital, Gaza’s largest medical center, for military purposes, including launching rockets, hiding hostages, and digging tunnels. Additionally, in Jenin, Israeli forces disguised as medical personnel thwarted an imminent terror attack by neutralizing three terrorists hiding inside the Ibn Sina Hospital.

The recent escalation in hostilities resulted in numerous casualties and hostage situations, with at least 1,200 fatalities and 240 Israelis and foreigners taken hostage by Hamas in attacks near the Gaza border on October 7. Israel recently declared 31 hostages dead, with 134 remaining in captivity.
