Wisconsin, US: The authorities are in pursuit of a missing 3-year-old boy named Elijah Vue, last seen on February 20, under troubling circumstances.

His mother, Katrina Baur, and her boyfriend, Jesse Vang, now face charges of child neglect following Elijah’s disappearance.

According to reports from Fox59, Elijah was entrusted to Jesse Vang’s care, who is reportedly in a relationship with the boy’s mother, as a disciplinary measure. However, upon waking from a nap, Vang discovered Elijah missing from his home in Twi Rivers. Vang claimed to authorities that he had been attempting to address Elijah’s behavioral issues.

Katrina Baur, 31, explained that she entrusted her son to Vang’s care as he serves as the “enforcer of rules” in their relationship. Baur expressed her desire for Vang to mentor Elijah on how to “be a man,” citing examples of disciplinary actions that included prayer and recitation of rules.

Mr. Vang reveals further troubling circumstances surrounding Elijah’s care. Vang stated that Elijah, who was mostly bottle-fed and not yet potty-trained, was subjected to stringent disciplinary measures, including withholding toys and breakfast without milk. Furthermore, Vang admitted to consuming alcohol and a muscle relaxant before Elijah’s disappearance.

Katrina Baur faces charges of child neglect, while Jesse Vang faces a felony count of party-to-a-crime child neglect. The search for Elijah Vue continues as authorities navigate this distressing case.
