Prince Harry has faced a setback in his legal challenge against the UK government concerning altering his security arrangements while visiting the country.

The dispute arose after Prince Harry was informed in February 2020 that he would no longer receive the “same degree” of publicly-funded protection during his visits to Britain.

Responding to this decision, Prince Harry initiated legal proceedings against the government.

However, the High Court delivered a verdict against Prince Harry’s challenge, affirming the decision to modify his security level.

High Court judge Peter Lane asserted the legality of the “bespoke” process implemented for Prince Harry in the decision made on February 28, 2020, as outlined in a comprehensive 52-page judgment.
